Breastfeeding in style with Mamascarf
Breastfeeding has always been an important way for me to bond with my children as well as feed them. I had always wanted to try my best to make it work successfully and thankfully my breastfeeding journey with both my children have been positive (although not without their ups and downs).
Now we all know that breastfeeding means you need quick access to your breasts to feed baby, meaning you really have to think about what you are wearing on a daily basis. I know that sometimes I have made a seriously wrong choice of dress and it has made breastfeeding L extremely difficult, particularly when not in the comfort on my own home. So then it got me thinking about what I’m going to be able to wear when I go back to work in a few weeks as I will be expressing. I need something that will allow easy access for pumping as well as something to help me cover up my modesty.
I’ve been trawling the internet in looking for some possible choices. You will generally see me wearing a dress with leggings whether I’m going out; going to work or even just around the house. So my top finds are all dresses as well as being coupled with the great Mamascarf from Mama Designs Ltd which will act as a nursing cover up for both breastfeeding and pumping.
My first find has to be this lovely breastfeeding gathered dress from Frugi in the wine Autumn Birds print. Lovely for the winter and coupled with the cream Mamascarf both would make a great outfit for work!
My second lovely find is from Milk and Mummy. The beautiful Tara dress in pistachio blossom print – great for that special occasion and perfect for a wedding I am going to soon. Coupled with a lovely cream Mamascarf to create a perfect outfit for breastfeeding at any special occasion.
My final find is from the lovely Babies with Babies and their Bella wrap dress in Teal which can be worn as an everyday dress or dressed up for that night out. Loving it when using it with the cream Mamascarf for those times when you need an extra cover up.
Now the common addition to these outfits has to be the Mamascarf acting as an additional cover up for breastfeeding but being stylish at the same time. This would make feeding in public much more easier for the more self concious mums without compromising on style.
The Mamascarf is made by the lovely people over at Mama Designs Ltd where you will find that they also produce some great baby items too in the form of the snoodie (a unique design of dribble bib) and the babasac (a versatile baby sleeping bag).
